Tom's Project

Art4TH and Tom Purse (Northwest Scenescapes) are uniting to create a slideshow and DVD which would be similar to IMAX's DVD of Hubble images of space. The images and artwork would be show places all around the world.

This group is for the artists who are participating in Tom’s Project and all the images uploaded here will be used. Each artist will get a free copy of the slideshow by download. Each artist will keep their own copyright and proceeds made from sales will benefit Art4TheHomeless.

The Artists we need are musicians and visual artists. If you are a writer and want to participate, we can work on having some of your writings created into an image format for the project.

ARTISTS WHO ARE DONATING***

If you wish to donate ( visual, literary, or music) to this project simply start a discussion in the forum below and upload what you wish to donate.

Musicians, you can email a track to me and if you need, a statement declaring that your music will only be used for Tom's Project will be provided UPON REQUEST!

Here are two links Tom has already done with his own art:

Update. Photography images are coming in from all over the world, but images of art I'm still in need of. I don't know very many artists. Music for the background is becoming an issue also. I'm not getting replies to my emails I've sent. Still working on it.

Another quick update. I've got a little of the show started. If anyone would like to look at it it can be downloaded here:
http://www.northwest-scenescapes.com/a4th/a4thproject.exe
It's very basic but a start. It is just to give an idea of what it will be like, after many changes and additions. But it's an idea of the lead-in, and credits. So far I've only put in a couple of my images just so there is something in the middle. It's a safe "exe" file, no spyware or anything else. Made it this way so no one would have to download a "plug-in" for a browser.

Thanks Alan. I got the images. They will work great.
I appreciate you letting us use them. If you would like to send me a little information for the credit line in the slideshow and on the website, just drop it to me in email. So far I've only put your name in the credits in the show.

Just a quick update. I have added a "A4TH Project" section to my website which I think is active now. It includes a little info about the slideshow project itself, some very basic info about A4TH (links included), how to submit images, etc. Johnna, if you can email me html code for a donation button I'll include that also. I've also added a contributors page for anyone who submits any work. It will include a thumbnails of the images they've donated, a bio if they want, and any links to blogs, websites, POD's that they would like included.

So far I have some photographers from Florida, Washington, Colorado, England, Ireland, and Scotland who have offered images for the project as well as help creating the slideshow. Several use the same software. Images cover Washington, Spain, Italy, Scotland, England, Ireland and some other places. Since I'm more associated with photographers than artists, I don't think I'll have any problem getting more photography than art. But I'm working on that.

My initial thoughts for the slideshow are: To have the photography part as a traveloque, possibly dividing it into geographical locations such as The United States, Europe, South America, etc. or by individual countries. I've asked for someone to do "voiceovers" for me and hopefully someone will volunteer their time. Then I think I will do a separate section for art.

I'm still waiting from David Gordon about the music but I know he's quite busy.

I have started working on the lead-ins for the slideshow as well as the copyright notice and the credits section.

Any thoughts?

Hey yall! Tom that's awesome! Alan, feel free to send them however you wish. It's easy to upload them here--but it requires a bit of html and I had forgotten that not everyone knows it LOL. I only uploaded three because I wanted to make room for other artists. Alan, you can send how many you wish.

*hugs*
